You cannot send broadcast messages to Instagram followers who have not sent you a DM. Manychat counts subscribers as those who have sent you a DM or a reaction. However, if you’d like to broadcast to this audience, you’ll need to have them optin to your broadcast list and give their consent for you to send them future messages on Instagram.

Subscribers can optin to as many broadcast topics as they like, and Manychat applies a “tag” to them, so you know they have opted into that list. You can set the broadcast topics in Manychat, or use the default “Promo and Updates” topic. When it comes time to send the broadcast, you’ll simply select the broadcast topic from a list, and hit “send”.
